It was so fun to have Becky at the ultrasound today with Cam and me. We got to see the baby yawn in real time. He also flipped Aunt Becky off, but unfortunately we don't have a picture of that one. We got to look at his brain, including the midline, thalamus, and ventricles. We also got to see the ventricles of the heart while it was beating. He still looks reminiscent of the Terminator (with his cyborg eye), and he also looks kind of like a spooky ghost when he yawns, but we think he's pretty cute anyway.

Becky called this his "dramatic pose"--he's holding his arm up against his face like he's swooning.
Big ole' foot
Our freaky little cyborg baby :)
It is cool to see him so developed. My last ultrasound was at 19 weeks. How many weeks are you now?
ReplyDeleteI'm at 27 weeks. Normally, insurance only pays for 2 or 3 ultrasounds, the last one around 19 or 20 weeks, but because my pregnancy is considered "high-risk" (due to the liver problems I had two years ago), they're able to find reasons to give me more ultrasounds :) Pretty cool, huh?
ReplyDeleteCan you feel him bustin' a move in there yet?
ReplyDeleteAll the time :) Except when I want someone to feel it. As soon as I have Cameron put his hand on my stomach, the little guy shuts up. Only a fetus and still apparently already has performance anxiety...
ReplyDeleteIt was SO COOL to see the ultrasound! He was moving a good bit, and seeing the brain and spine and feet and the yawning was just so much fun! Thanks Em and Cam for letting me privy to such a neat moment.
ReplyDeleteFun pictures to look at. Makes me want to see and hold him in person. 3 more months!
