One of the funnest things about the trip was watching how much Ezra and Nora love their Grandpa (and, of course, how much Grandpa loves them!)

We had such a great time visiting with Nora, Rachel, and Grandpa.  We were sad to see them go!

Nora was so sweet when it was time for her and Rachel to go.  She was very sad to say goodbye.  It was heartbreaking but touching at the same time.  Grandpa gave her a lollipop and told her she could open it at the airport if she got sad and think about him.

This reminded me a little of that video of Nora from a year and a half or two years ago when she was laying on that big mylar balloon :)

New Orleans

I gave a talk this past week at a conference in New Orleans. Scott and Nora came with me.

One can't go to New Orleans without sampling the beignets. 

Nor should you miss snoballs, the New Orleans version of a snow cone. 

The Insectarium was a big hit with Nora. 

Bourbon Street. There was a band and Nora danced like a fiend.  So much so that some Asian tourists started videoing her. 

Found a small jazz club a little outside of the standard tourist areas.
